At the planning meeting yesterday evening (9th March 2021) the planning application to turn the Swan into a single domestic dwelling was unaminously rejected by the planning committee. This is a fantastic outcome for the Save Our Swan group and investors, the SOS group’s continuing efforts to save The Swan were acknowledged and praise was given on the comprehensive business plan and prospectus that we put forward.
This is only the beginning, we have to remain cautious and not get ahead of ourselves, the planning application may go to appeal and we will need to enter into purchase negotiations with the current owners, so a few more hurdles to overcome yet.
