The Ley Hill Community Pub Limited is a company set up by an enthusiastic and passionate group of Ley Hill residents with the aim of purchasing the Swan pub to preserve it as a community asset. Ley Hill is a village situated in the Chilterns AONB close to Chesham, Buckinghamshire. The Swan was built around 1520 and is one of the oldest pubs in Bucks. It is Grade II listed and its history as an Ale house and latterly as a Pub can be traced back to the 1600’s. During WWII Clark Gable, James Stewart & Glenn Miller where frequent visitors. As a freehold pub the Swan gained a great reputation for fine cask ales and outstanding food.
We aim to raise in the region of £500,000 by means of a share purchase scheme open to local residents and beyond. Once we reach the level of funding required as set out in the Prospectus the group will make a formal offer for the purchase of the Swan. We are looking for interested parties to participate in this unique investment opportunity…
